1700s: Craps Moving Across the Channel

The game Hazard was very popular in England, but then, like most gambling games that become popular, it began to spread. And it spread further afield, across the English Channel in fact. Pretty soon, Hazard was being played across France, but the French gave it the name craps. Craps was incredibly popular in France around the time of the 18th century, and this soon meant that Craps had been spread across Europe.
